About the Mission

The Banjara gypsies, many of whom once traveled the spice and silk caravan routes, are one of India's unreached tribal people now living in small rural villages serving a host of idols they call gods.

When we tell them "In the beginning God..." and how the Living God, the One True God, loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to die for our sins so we could be reconciled to Him for eternity, they tend to ask the same question again and again: "If Jesus died over 2,000 years ago for our sins, rose from the dead, and now reigns, why have we not heard of this Jesus before?" A haunting question, which perhaps frames Paul's exhortation in Romans 10:14-15. Yet, we reply that we have come now, today, so this generation of Banjara will hear the good news! This generation of Banjara tribals need Jesus!

Our Father delights in obedient children who bear the good news message. Please consider being those "beautiful feet" that are so needed in the 12,000 villages of the Banjara gypsy of Andhra Pradesh state, India!
