About Me
My Trip
For one thing, I am one that believes that God puts humans in certain situations for a reason.
This last trip I attended affirmed that I need to be back in Piura, Peru for a third time around. The trip to Piura not only helps me appreciate what I have back at home, but also makes me want to help more and more. The week in Piura, Peru is a true evidence that God sets journeys for everyone. Especially in the year 2009, I've meet so many people and families that I've grown close with. The years I am in school are the years I am able to leave and do a few mission trips, and this is the time I want to take advantage of that.
The trip for the year 2010 will be during my Christmas break, and I am looking to spend a good amount of time in Piura for my break helping out the family that my family sponsors and other people in Piura by building houses, helping with the clothing drive, doing work around the church, or attending mass. Everyday is full of activities and there is no dull moment while I am there. I know in my heart that I am making a difference and I am making a difference in other people's lives that I meet there as well.
Everything to be preapred for the trip is well worth it.
Here is a little bit about the trip:
The week in Piura, Peru is not only a trip to open your eyes to how other people live in the world, but to experience the desitinations that God sets for people to experince in life. Every time back in Piura, Peru becomes more of an eye opener, but lets people experience their faith even more so. The love and gratitude in the city is overwhelming and inspiring to anyone. There is always a want to go back again and again every year.
The schedule goes as follows:
For one week there are several acitivites that are done with the group from St. Anthony's of Pewaukee, Wisconsin:
- Delivering Christmas presents to families around the city
- Building new houses (from bamboo poles and threaded sheets) for families in need
- Helping distribute clothes to villages with bags of clothes
- Visiing the elderly in the hospice center
- Going to see the orphanage and visit with the young girls and deliver food
- Have lunch with one's sponsored family and enjoy an afternoon with them
The whole week is filled everyday with acitivies. Every night at 7pm there is a daily mass that really opens up one's faith. Everything is taken care of as far as food, trasnportation, etc. when everyone arrives so there is no need to go out and buy food daily. The staff at Santisimo Sacremento is heat warming and welcoming every part of the trip.
Support
Any financial support no matter how small, I am looking for. Being a college student, a big mission trip costing as expensive as it is, isn't easy to afford. I am hoping with the support from many family and close friends I can cut down the trip by being supported. Even if it is a few dollars, feel free to send it to me at my apartment at school, or do it through PayPa via this websitel. If you make a donation online, click "make a donation" and there will be directions on how to do so further. Any questions, please contact me through my email or phone. You can send donations via mail by this address:

I appreciate all your love and support.
Thank you.
