About Me
I am a Catholic student at Purdue studying Nuclear Engineering. I am active in Purdue American Nuclear Society and am currently aiding research in cancer treatment. I love playing soccer, biking, and finding new modes of entertainment.
My Trip
Every year, Saint Thomas Aquinas sends Purdue students to Haiti on a mission. Our main focus is the village of Baudin (/Boh-dan/), where St. Tom's has established numerous health projects and educational opportunities. Baudin is the home of our sister-parish, Saint Francis Xavier--whom we work with closely to extend our faith to this part of Haiti.
Our mission centers around raising basic health awareness and encouraging Christian beliefs. One project provides clean and safe water to many families via a simple filtration system. Other projects involve installing cement floors in dwellings and bringing the Haitians basic medical supplies and food items.
Support
We greatly appreciate the generosity we have already been shown and are in debt to each of our sponsors. The main expenses for the 15 of us are: airfare, food, accommodations, ground transportation, translators, and the cost of food that we will be supplying to the families.
Thank you for your donation, and God bless.
