About Me

Hi! My name is Kaylie Waltz and I'm a freshmen at Purdue University. I'm currently studying Pre-Medicine in the School of Health Sciences and this is my first mission trip with Campus House. Our team is going to Ecuador and I couldn't be more excited!!

My Trip

God has recently presented me with a challenging and exciting ministry opportunity to travel to Ecuador from May 11-25, 2009. I will be visiting Ecuador with a team of Purdue students from my church at school, Purdue Christian Campus House [www.pcch.org]. Our mission is to work alongside OMS International as they encourage church planting movements within Ecuador. As we worship God as a community of believers with the Ecuadorians, I know this experience will affect both the lives of the people of Ecuador and ours as well. Our trip will focus on spreading the news of Jesus Christ to those who may not have had the opportunity to hear His message of hope and grace. We will be meeting with the native people in their communities and providing help to them in any way that is needed. A couple opportunities that we have to serve are working for a medical clinic, educational center, local church, and guinea pig farm. The guinea pig farm provides a means of support that helps develop financial security for local pastors; this way they are able to devote more time to their work at their churches.

Support

I am so excited about this opportunity, and the experience that lies ahead. I hope you also see the value in what we will be accomplishing. As you can imagine, this type of trip requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $2,100 to cover the cost of my trip. I have already begun preparing myself for this trip through prayer, as well as finding ways to make my own personal financial contribution. If you could provide support financially as well, I would be very grateful. Please remember, no amount is too small. Most importantly, I need your support in prayers. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in our ministry. Without prayer, nothing is possible; but with prayer, all things are possible. Knowing that you are praying for me would mean the world to me!
