What is MissionMixUp.com?

MissionMixUp.com is a social networking site for people interested in mission trips. Our goal is to link three key groups of people: Trip participants, sponsoring organizations, and financial supporters. MissionMixUp is a resource that aids in the planning and fundraising of mission trips.

Who should use MissionMixUp?

•  Participants interested in spreading the word about their mission
•  Participants looking to fundraise their mission
•  Organizations who host mission trips
•  Supporters willing to provide financial support for those attending mission trips

Will random people on the Internet give me money?

Mission trip support pages can be found by random people surfing the site. However, you should not count on these types of donations. Your best bet is to email your page out to family and friends using the advertising button on the dashboard next to the trip you want to attend.

How much does MissionMixUp cost?

There is no fee to join or use MissionMixUp. There is however, a small fee that PayPal charges when a credit card donation is made to your account. Please see PayPal’s website for those details.

How do I get my money once I have raised it?

You must do this through PayPal.

Is my credit card/payment information safe?

MissionMixUp never handles your credit card or payment information directly and cannot store it. PayPal takes care of all payment processing.

What payment methods does MissionMixUp use to accept pledges?

MissionMixUp accepts pledges through PayPal. PayPal accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

How can I trust the group leader or hosting organization of a mission trip?


You must use your own discretion when signing up for a trip. We do not filter or evaluate the trips that are posted to our site. We recommend that you contact the hosting organization directly to determine its credibility. If you believe any opportunities on our site are fraudulent let us know immediately and we will address the situation quickly.

Are my donations tax deductible?

 

If your donation is made to a non-profit oganization you should contact the non-profit organization directly to get a receipt for tax purposes.

 

How do I send emails to friends and family in order to raise support for my trip?

In order to send out email through the website to friends and family, go to the dashboard and click your trip under mission joined. This will take you to your personal support page. Then at the top of your personal support page is an Advertise button. On the advertise page you can send an email to friends and family using the form. If you prefer to use your personal mail client to send out the support info, just copy and paste the URL from your support page and include it in your email.
